IMPACT Europe consortium meets in Tel Aviv for project meeting
On 27 August 2015, IMPACT Europe consortium partners gathered in Tel Aviv, Israel, for a project meeting that provided consortium partners with an opportunity to discuss last steps toward the finalisation of the IMPACT Europe evaluation toolkit, which will be piloted from March 2016 onwards.
Participants took stock of the progress made with regard to developing the IMPACT Europe evaluation toolkit, which will help practitioners in the field of counter violent radicalisation to learn about promising practices regarding the design and evaluation of their activities. With a view to ensuring the methodological robustness of the toolkit, consortium partners revisited the sources and methodologies included in the database that underpins the toolkit, and they also discussed the layout of the toolkit, which will be released to the wider public in 2017.
At the project meeting, consortium partners also revisited their approach to developing the training material that will accompany the IMPACT Europe evaluation toolkit. Discussions revolved around conceptual and operational content to be covered in the IMPACT Europe training manual, IMPACT Europe’s vision for the training course, and the mitigation of potential challenges. Specifically, consortium partners explored the linguistic challenges associated with introducing a toolkit that is envisaged to eventually cater for practitioners across the 28 EU Member States and discussed various strategies to address these.
