IMPACT Europe wins ‘Best Paper’ award at the European Evaluation Society Conference |
In September, IMPACT Europe team members were invited to the bi-annual European Evaluation Society Conference. With three papers presented, a Toolkit demonstration of use and several session chaired by its researchers, IMPACT Europe featured prominently in the conference agenda. A notable achievement for the IMPACT Europe team was the winning of the “Best Paper” award. The award is the most prestigious in the European evaluation research community and recognises originality, rigour, innovation, practical/policy relevance, and contribution to international evaluation debates.

IMPACT Europe – Radicalisation Awareness Network Joint Practitioners Training Workshop |
On 10 and 11 November, the IMPACT Europe team, in partnership with the Radicalisation Awareness Network - Centre of Excellence, welcomed a group of counter-radicalisation and counter-violent extremism practitioners from prison and probation services to a two-day capacity-building workshop in Cambridge, UK. The workshop provided a unique opportunity to empower practitioners to evaluate their work, to exchange and learn from the experiences of and challenges faced by their peers, and to build a community of practice. |

IMPACT Europe presented at the European Commission conference on radical ideologies and violent extremism |
IMPACT Europe was presented at the European Commission’s Conference on Addressing Radical Ideologies and Violent Extremism: The Role of Research held in Brussels on 26 September. The project’s presentation focused not only on the results achieved by the project to date, but also on the challenges that remain with regard to seeing sound evaluation practices become more established and embedded in the fields of CVE and PVE. |

IMPACT Europe project and review meetings in Brussels |
In September, IMPACT Europe consortium partners met in Brussels to discuss ongoing project work and the future of the project. They also met with representatives from the European Commission and external reviewers as part of the second project review meeting. Discussions among partners and with the Commission focussed on ensuring the sustainability of the project and on broadening the Toolkit’s user-base for greater impact among the policy and practitioner community. |
