New external publication – IMPACT Europe publishes on Secondant

IMPACT Europe researchers recently published on the Dutch journal Secondant an article discussing the project and entitled Toolkit helps with evaluation of radicalisation interventions. The article was authored by Dr Dianne van Hemert of TNO, Dr Ron van Wonderen of VJI and Mr Theo Muskee of DNP. Secondant is a widely read journal on crime prevention and community security whose readership includes security professionals within municipalities, local governments, police forces, public prosecution, and national government. You can access the article through our Publication section here.

The article provides a general description of what the Europe IMPACT project aims to deliver and of the work carried out so far. In particular, the article briefly describes the work done by the IMPACT Europe research team on the inventory of the state-of-the-art in radicalisation, radicalisation interventions, and their evaluations. Furthermore, the article discusses the project’s future plans for the piloting of the IMPACT Europe toolkit, as well as the knowledge base underpinning this instrument.

The article attracted attention also from the Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice. A news item discussing the IMPACT Europe project, its toolkit and broader work was in fact posted shortly after the publication of the Secondant article and can be read here on the Ministry’s website.
